The DACC-NMSU STAR program is a 5-year NSF-funded scholarship for engineering-bound transferring students from DACC to NMSU College of Engineering (CoE).
Who is eligible for the scholarship?
- High School GPA and DACC GPA of at least 2.75 and a grade of “B” or better in all mathematics courses at DACC
- Declared major in engineering and intent to transfer to NMSU CoE and enroll full-time (15 credit hours)
- U.S. citizenship or status as a national, refugee alien, or permanent resident alien in accordance with Section IV of Program Solicitation NSF 15-581
- Demonstration of financial need in accordance with U.S. Department of Education rules for need-based federal financial aid
- Intent to co-enroll in NMSU CoE courses, as advised
- Intent to attend Summer Math Boot Camp (SMBC) and enroll in Math190G as per math placement
- Intent to pass MATH 190/191/192 with at least a grade of “B” at the time of transfer
- Intent to attend all Aggie Pathway (AP) activities, including workshops, as required.
